Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with the IFRC procedures and standards for Human Resource Management;
  • Ensure the day-to-day management of the Human Resources of Operation Ebola in North Kivu;
    Establish and follow the planning and monitoring of staff leave and R&R for the Delegates based in North Kivu;
  • Organize and participate in the staff recruitment process
  • Support National Societies (NS) as needed for Human Resources (recruitments);
  • Ensure that all new staff briefings are done in the first week of their joining
  • Support the HR team in Kinshasa on payroll management
  • Ensure that timely information are passed on to all the staff
  • Ensure that performance management system and related processes are carried out consistently, objective setting and reviews are set up and done
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and labour law
  • Anticipate and inform all the line managers on staff contract end date
  • Ensure staff exits are appropriate managed,
  • Prepare monthly provider payments and trainee transportation fees
  • Rank all administrative documents;
  • Save and process mail destined for Human Resources (invoices, etc.)


  • Bachelor or Master in Human Resources, Administration, Law or other similar discipline


  • 3 years minimum working experience in Human Resources in an International Organization
  • Experience in collaborating and working in synergy with the government, NGOs and UN system organizations.
  • Experience working in the field is desirable

  • Ability to give and receive feedback
  • Computer knowledge (Windows, Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Ability to work independently (with minimal supervision)

  • Shall speak and write fluently French and English
  • Knowledge of local languages is desirable
